Welcom on this website!
On this site, you can find a lot of information about civil aviation. The history, the tasks of the different crew members
and the working of an aircraft. Besides that, a large part is reserved for a database with aircraft and airlines. To brighten
up the homepage, there are some games, among what is a quiz. Last but not least, there's the possibility to download wallpapers
and screensavers of your favourire plane!
There's enough information for a talk that keeps your classmates amused for quite some time, but of your you can also browse
this website for info about your (new) interest.
We, the creators of this site, compete with this homepage in a web-contest organized by the Ducth ThinkQuest. For more information about them, we direct you to our own ThinkQuest-page, or click through to their own site (Dutch).
Most people need a while to get used to certain new things: a little explanation to shorten the learning process. On the
top of each page, in the blue bar, are eight buttons. That are the categories that are discuessed. For each category, a submenu
appears in the sidebar on the left of the page. You can use this for visiting diferrent pages.
On the other end, at the bottom, there are also a couple of links. They stay in place all the time. These are buttons to the pages
copyright,
last update and
sitemap. With the last one, you'll get an overview of all pages
in this site to make it easier to find what you're looking for. If you won't find the needed information with the
sitemap, you can try our search engine (in the blue bar).
Because we introduced quite a lot of terms that aren't used everyday, we use BoxOvers. If you hold your mouse-pointer above an
underlined wordt, a blue informatiebox pops up. A normal line indicates a hyperlink, a dotted one points to a difficult word.
The pictures that are scattered through this site are sometime pretty small. If you click on them, the page is darkened
and a large version of the photograph will appear in the middle of your screen. Another click (on the photo) closes is again
so you get back to the text.
On the pages of the different aircraft and airlines we've placed tables with basic information. Sad enough, we couldn't track
everything down, which explains the blanks here and there.
We wish you a lot of fun on our website and hope to see you back soon!
