Burgerluchtvaart | Airbus Corporate Jetliner - Venezuelaanse regering

Last Update

The site works in version 3.6.1.

We've decided to view an overview of all work we did instead of a single date.

March 12 - 17, 2008
Emile has made the last scripts and Bram finished the last details, like cropping a couple of pictures. And again problems with the server. Too bad we didn't reach our objective: we had to little time and we were too tired to translate all pages. However, the major part has been turned into English. If you're interested in Boeing, Airbus or how a plane works, we're sorry to direct you to another site or to our Dutch pages.
March 9 - 11, 2008
Very busy translating all texts. Everything that's completed is put online and is decorated with pictures. Whether or not this worked is checked. The list of sources is finished, just like the ThinkQuest-part with introductions to the team members. The guestbook has been finished too, and is on line. There were some problems with the server, the site even went down completely: pretty frustrating. It's been a reason to reset our deadline to March 14.
March 1 - 8, 2008
All texts are done and the working of the site is controlled completely. Due to multiple server-side problems (disk quota exeeded), we couldn't move on: nerve-racking when the deadline is approaching!!!
February 17 - 29, 2008
Emile has finished a couple of scripts, like the poll. A problem with different JavaScripts (menu, lightbox, timeline) was solved. Bram inserted all data of all pages into an XML-file, which is needed for the timeline on the history section.
February 7 - 16, 2008
For the first time, the CMS was placed in the lay-out. Working with it, we came across some mistakes which we've solved. The texts about air crashes are translated by Bram. Twan is still busy with writing the articles about the airlines. The deadline for certain parts we've agreed on isn't going to be catched.
January 27 - February 6, 2008
The texts about the different airliners, the technical aspects and the air crashes are finished. That makes the content-part of this website complete, at least for a large part. Bram has put photo's in all these articles. Emile has completed the CMS.
January 20 - 26,
Bram is moving on well with the texts about the aircraft manufacturers: Airbus, Boeing, Fokker, Tupolev and Locheed can be put online! Furthermore, he completed the pages about the registration number. On top of this, two possible picture-souces (the Vliegtuighomepage and AirDisaster) have been mailed, in the hope that we'll get a permission to use their photographs. To view these pictures, a script has been downloaded and built into the site.
January 13 - 19,
Emile has almost completed the second version of his CMS. According to him, it's going to be great. He received a number of texts from Bram to translate. Boeing send a mail in which we get permission to use their photographs and clips: great news!
January 6 - 12, 2008
Bram started the work on the pages with downloads and finished it. The page with clips is also working. Emile started a new CMS: the perfectionist didn't like his previous one enough Bram has contacted Boeing and Airbus to ask permission for image use. The work on the texts continues.
January 2 - 5, 2008
The plan has been made: we're participating in ThinkQuest and make a site about civil aviation, focussing on the jet-era. The tasks have been distributed. Emile started with designing the layout. One day later, it was switched into XHTML and CSS, sliced and done. Together, a menu is chosen and built in the site. The various fonts and colours have been chosen as well. Emile started work on the CMS. Forms have been made, the 'tree-structure' is thought over a couple of times and almost finished. New pages can be added from now on. Two-third part of the CMS to go. Bram has started with including the timeline on the history page. Some errors came with the package, it seemed. The menu was put into the layout and most problems are solved. Twan and Bram have started writing the texts that are going to be on this website.
